Bizarre looking cave structures of flute-like, bubbly botryoids of translucent, straw-yellow, oxide-tinted chalcedony dramatically fill a large vug on this striking old-timer from the famous mines of Cornwall. The form of the features is definitely surreal and the piece displays well without aid. From an East Coast collection.
