Octahedral & spinel-twinned Gold

Item Description

A beautiful and dramatically different two-sided crystallized gold thumbnail from Venezuela. Fantastic hoppered/skeletal form on a spinel-twin is the highight on one side, while the other side shows the sharp octahedron dramatically framed by the two spinel twins. The arborescent cluster of sharp, lustrous, rich yellow gold crystals came from Venezuelan finds around 2007-2008. These were sold as palladian gold, but analysis to date is inconclusive.
