Item Description

An impressive and very sculptural large combination from the famous Denton Mine. A striking, translucent, 10.2 cm modified calcite scalenohedron has rich golden color, waxy luster stepped-growth prism faces and fascinating glass-clear termination faces at the gemmy tip. The calcite is dramatically attached to two intergrown sharp, splendent metallic galena cubes, that are preferenitally peppered with tiny calcites. The calcite GLOWS, when back lit. Certainly a super artistic 360-degree specimen minimally impacted by the trivial calcite bruising and contacting on the back side. A clean repair has reattached the calcite and galena, which is certainly acceptable. Ex Ross Lillie Collection # 1406 with a May, 1993 date. Ross's note says: "Very unusual association." Value of the large RARE combination??? We feel $1500-2000 is fair.
