Item Description

An impressive, large, sharp, textbook, splendent silver-metallic carrollite octahedron from a New Find at this well-known locale. The dramatic crystal is doubly terminated and has striking modified terminations. The sharp form of the nearly pristine 360-degree crystal is remarkable and the superb luster is characteristic of this rare Cu-Co-Ni sulfosalt. The lower front is contacted with embedded pink matrix, but there is little, if any bruising. The back is also contacted, but again, there is little, if any real damage. This striking large doubly terminated crystal would easily be $5000 or more, if complete on back and from the earlier finds. this new find resets the modern standard! The size, high quality and form still rate this a a $2500-3000 specimen. Here is your chance to obtain an outstanding large carrollite octahedron at a very reasonable price point.
