Item Description

A RARE, large and impressive doubly terminated compound gypsum crystal from the old mines in this area of Tuscany. The complex sculptural tabular specimen is water-clear gypsum, as the partially cleaved side prism faces illustrate. The complex edges and termination faces have satin luster faces. Complete all-around and in great shape, with only a minor bit of edge wear, amazing for such a soft mineral. Choice and RARE Italian gypsum from the H.R. McBroom and Allen Dillwith Collections.
