Glorious, highly lustrous, "electric blue", tabular azurite crystals are richly and aesthetically set with malachite on the starkly contrasting white dickite clay-coated porphyry matrix on this striking and sculptural small cabinet from Milpillas. The azurites reach 2.0 cm. The central large azurite reveals, that the azurites are actually double pseudomorphs! Malachite replaced the original azurite crystals and then the stunning electric blue azurite grew over the malachite. This is a very fine example of this highly desirable variety.
