An uncommon and outstanding large okenite and gyrolite combination from the famous Malad Quarry in the Mumbai area. Intergrown and isolated puffballs of beautiful off-white okenite needles, to 2.5 cm, aesthetically line both walls of the sculptural very deep vug with complimentary, pearlescent, nubby snow-white gyrolite balls, to 2.2 cm, on this superlative large specimen from this extinct quarry. The vug is lined with tiny gyrolite balls on nubby chalcedony. The soaring population of Mumbai closed the quarries in the area. Such well-developed and protected okenite vugs are seldom available.
