Item Description

Jet-black, twinned, splendent, sphalerite crystals cover this rich, impressive, sculptural, large mounded specimen from this classic old lead, zinc, barium mine. The large crystal at the crest is 1.8 cm. The specimen was collected from the Admiralty Flats in January, 1995. It is illustrated in the MINDAT locality Photo Gallery with an April, 2008 photo by Dr. Stephen Moreton. Rare and excellent large sphalerite from this famous locale.
