Item Description

One of the most classic localities for Adamite in the world is the Ojuela mine in Mexico. This material is some of the most beautiful and classic material for the species. This is a lovely green Cuprian Adamite specimen from this historic locality. The color is wonderful for the species and the locality, and the sparkling luster makes this piece very desirable. My favorite aspect of the piece is that it features complete, gemmy spheres of Adamite measuring up to 1.2 cm across, which are distinctive and fairly well-isolated on the underlying Limonite matrix. The piece is in good condition overall. The color is what matters here. This mine is well known for its amazingly intense colors of Adamite, and this piece is certainly a great example of said material. This is a great small cabinet size display specimen, and the best of this material will go down as some of the finest quality and color Adamite in history. Valued at $1,250
