Description:This is a striking and beautiful specimen of Azurite which has pseudomorphed to velvety green Malachite from BRAZIL of all places. We think of gem crystals or even Gold or Diamonds when it comes Brazil, but secondary ore minerals are seldom seen. The famous locality at Seabra has given collectors some really impressive specimens that remind me of specimens from Arizona. This specimens was mined in the early 1990's. It's in great shape with excellent aesthetic form. This piece is really choice and showy and displays well from several angles. From the collection of Rolando Gioia (a contributor to new definitive book on Brazilian minerals: "Minerais e Pedras Preciosas do Brasil").
