Description:The Rose Quartz specimens from the Pitorra Claim in Brazil are among the finest examples of crystallized Rose Quartz in the world. This piece is beautiful display specimen of this classic Brazilian material. Many very sharp, highly lustrous, VERY gemmy, classic pink color, hexagonal crystals of Rose Quartz sit have formed a wonderful small cabinet display piece. There is even a bit of scepter habit growth on some of the crystals. As I mentioned, most of the Rose Quartz crystals are incredibly gemmy, virtually WATER CLEAR in areas. Good quality all around, and the piece sits beautifull without the aid of a base or clay. This a rather showy, eye-catching and desirable in the mineral world. Valued at $1,250. From the collection of Rolando Gioia (a contributor to new definitive book on Brazilian minerals: "Minerais e Pedras Preciosas do Brasil").
