Item Description

A dramatic, sculptural, 360-degree small cabinet cluster from the recent Chinese finds that brought the mineral world striking and colorful Plumbogummite pseudomorphs after huge Pyromorphite crystals. This vertically-oriented cluster has crystals that reach up to a large 6.3 cm in length and exhibit striking hopper growth at the terminations. The pretty light, sky-blue color on the upper 2/3 of their length is quite attractive, and it grades to a lustrous olive-green near the bases. The green is the remnant of their original Pyromorphite, and there are smaller crystals on this piece that are still nearly all Pyromorphite. Superb all around, and balanced, this is one of the better small cabinets from the famous 2014 finds (we bought most of them, early, in China). I have seen comparable specimens on the market valued $2500-5000. I value this at more like $1200-1500, direct from the source in large deals. This is a fantastic pseudomorph with huge crystals.
