Large Sulfur with aragonite stalactites, ex Conklin

A huge single crystal of sulfur! It is part of a really unique assemblage here: intergrown with sparklnig grayish aragonite crystals for a surreal contrast. The sulfur is huge, lustrous and translucent, doubly terminated, and measures 7.5 cm in length. The color is a pure rich, lemon yellow! It is complete on the display face and sides, with only a contact on the back side that does not affect the quality or value of the specimen. We have all seen a lot of Italian sulfurs, but this crystal is a monster and it displays most unusually (it sits on its own, flat as shown). Valued $2000-2500. ex Larry Conklin collection
