Strikingly sculptural, old-time, doubly terminated smoky quartz from this classic Swiss locale. The limpid, very glassy and lustrous crystals have rich smoky color and the impressive large doubly terminated crystal is a slightly twisted closed GWINDEL. The artistic piece looks like a fish with a dorsal fin in the horizontal view and it looks like it's mounted on a plaque with the quartz matrix on the back! The frontal display view is pristine. This exceptional old-time St Gotthard gwindel is a from an East Coast collection and comes with a faded 100-year old label. Gwindels from here are uncommon. Valued at $1750-2000 and worth it.
