Item Description

Fine Tsumeb wulfenite specimens are just not that common and this is an excellent thumbnail single crystal. The stout, very glassy, translucent tan prism has striking, stepped, razor edge terminations. Both sides look great. Nearly pristine, with only a few edge wilbers. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 9120 and acquired at Tucson in 1981 from Dick Bideaux. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017). Classic, uncommon, and excellent Tsumeb wulfenite in this size and quality. valued $400-450
