Item Description

Outstanding specimens of fairfieldite, a rare phosphate, come from this extinct well-known lithia-bearing granite pegmatite. The Foote Mine is famous for a variety of rare phosphates and silicates. A LARGE for the locale, 1.3 cm, light brown, translucent bladed ball of crystals is very aesthetically set in a large vug lined with UNCOMMON quartz crystals. This is superb large combination example with a very rare large crystal cluster from the locale. Valued at $900-1200 and is from 1970s-80s finds by and from the mine chemist and analysis shop manager, Jack Eaker. This impressive and rare combination displays very well vertically without aid.
