Item Description

A RARE and outstanding combination pseudomorph miniature from the Lake George area of Colorado. Ferruginous quartz has replaced a sharp, dramatically set upright hematite blade. The pseudo aesthetically rests on a matrix of lustrous goethite blades and hematite rosettes. Clusters of oxide-tinted quartz crystals are a fine accent to this superb and pristine two-sided specimen. Choice Colorado material from the Kay Robertson Collection # 10303 and acquired in Tucson in 1984. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record). A MUST for the Colorado or species collector.
