Item Description

An outstanding and sculptural specimen from the famous Daoping Mine. The well-placed crystal cluster of rich apple-green, juicy, lustrous hexagonal prisms is dominated by the three, striking "smokestacks". The crystals, to a large 2.1 cm, are further enhanced by the stepped-growth faces and hoppered terminations. Hoppered crystals are also visible in the rich cluster behind the three crystals. Embedded quartz crystal sections in the starkly contrasting sculptural gossan matrix add much color and character. This commanding piece is from a small late 2000s finds at Daoping, not the major early 2000s finds from here. Specimens from this find are seldom on the market and are highly desirable.
