Limpid smoky quartz crystals of this quality from the Shigar Valley are an uncommon and highly valued commodity. This sharp, water-clear, gem-like, glass crystal has excellent smoky color. Interestingly, a couple of the offset termination faces are preferentially frosted, with all other faces being glass-clear. The subtle stepped-growth faces add real pizzazz to this highly lustrous beauty. Complete-all-around and nearly pristine, with only a small mostly out-of-sight termination edge bruise on the back. A fine BONUS, is the crystal is technically doubly terminated, as the rehealed broken base is covered with a myriad of small lustrous points. Ex Paul Otto Collection
