Item Description

Pastel-pink, nubby spherical aggregates of tiny rhodochrosite blades richly cover the mounded quartz crystal plate on this showy and colorful combination from this less well-known Peru district. Raura is better known for excellent stibnite specimens. The one spot of bruising is certainly only a modest detraction to this excellent and uncommon combination. Most of these came out in the 1970s, with very few since.
