DT Quartz w/ Hematite/Amethyst phantom (Heini Soltau Coll.)

Item Description

A super cute and colorful doubly terminated miniature quartz crystal from the Orange River and the Heini Soltau Collection. The sharp, well-formed glassy crystal with satin luster faces is richly included with hematite and is dramatically accented with a streak of amethyst. The stepped-growth faces add pizzazz. The original quartz crystal was coated with hematite and then a second layer of glassy quartz overgrew the hematite. The display views are essentially pristine. The contact on the back exposes the underlying hematite. A very fanciful and uncommon Orange River quartz.
