Item Description

Stacked, blocky, translucent, honey-brown siderite rhombs with a unique, eerie, metallic-shimmer luster are dramatically set on the two-sided volcanic matrix covered with scintillating pyrite microcrystals and smaller siderites. The largest crystal measures 1.7 cm across. The crystals glow, when backlit. A rare classic from a one-time pocket from the 1970s-1980s finds at the well-known Julcani District of Peru. Formerly in the Art Soregaroli Collection. Ex Dr. Barratt Phillips Collection and illustrated in the MINDAT Photo Gallery for the locale.
