Item Description

An imposing, sculptural and RARE large 360-degree mounded combination specimen from a New Find at this obscure Chihuahua mine. Fluorite is rare from here. Lustrous, translucent, yellowish-green fluorite cubes have satiny luster and are aesthetically intergrown with clusters of glassy, pearlescent creamy barite blades. The striking 3.5 cm barite spray on one side is a super accessory. The fluorite stepped-growth faces give a nice 3-dimensional aspect to the cubes, to 1.4 cm, on this excellent and rare cabinet combination. Every turn presents a different perspective and the basal periphery wear on one side is out-of-sight in the primary display views. Bright blue-purple fluorescence. Valued at $500 by well-known Mexico specialist and author, Dr. Peter Megaw.
