Item Description

VERY RARE and showy fluorite from an OBSCURE New Mexico locality and the Ted Bartels Collection. Lustrous, translucent, frosted octahedrons, to 2.1 cm, cover the matrix plate. The octos have striking rich violet/lavender edge phantoms above the mint-green cores. The back lit photo highlights the edge phantoms, but washes out the green cores. Rich purple fluoresence. RARE 2-color fluorite from New Mexico. MINDAT does not list the Sierra County locality. A MUST for the species or New Mexico collector.
