Item Description

Please Note: This specimen was labelled as coming from the "Little Jack Mine, Cobalt, Idaho", but I can't find a listing for this locality. It could possibly be from the Blackbird Mine in Lemhi County, but I'm not entirely sure as I don't think I've ever seen a piece of Erythrite from Idaho, as they are virtually non-existent on the market. With that said, the display side of this specimen is loaded with many "sprays" of rich reddish-fuchsia colored Erythrite on host rock matrix. The "sprays" look beautiful up close and we used a Canon MP-E 65 mm macro lens to better illustrate the quality. If anybody has some insight or information as to where this piece might be from, please let us know. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#9321). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
