Item Description

A polished specimen of the very rare hydrated iron aluminum phosphate Matulaite from the type locality in Pennsylvania. This piece is a polished specimen featuring pearly white/colorless Matulaite in host rock matrix. It's from a discovery in 1980 when the species was first named after Margaret ("Marge") Matula who discovered the material. This is the only piece of this species that we've had to offer from this locality, and comes with a classic label from Josef Vajdak / Pequa Rare Minerals, which immediately increases the value.
