Item Description

The famous Jeffrey Mine is Quebec is now finished, but it has produced some of the most iconic Vesuvianite specimens in history. Everybody loves the rich mint-green colored crystals that have been coming out for decades, but the rarely seen intense green cryst This attractive thumbnail specimen features very sharp, lustrous, gemmy, STRONG green colored crystals that superficially look like dodecahedra, which confused us when we labeled this as a grossular garnet in the initial description! They are up to 5 mm and perched atop a lighter green layer of chrome-bearing Diopside. Very attractive up close, and very difficult to find on the market. This mine is now closed to collecting and these are old specimens!
