Item Description

Classic material from the world famous Ojuela Mine featuring spherical groups of orange-yellow colroed Mimetite measuring up to 3 mm across sitting on host rock matrix with minor GEM quality colorless Calcite. The piece is in great shape, and when you look closely, the Mimetites have a gentle drusy appearance on the surface. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#4206). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
