Item Description

The Bunker Hill mine is a famous lead-zinc-silver mine that produced some of the finest Pyromorphite specimens from the Western Hemisphere. The mine operated for a century (closing forever in 1988), and fine quality specimens such as this one are difficult to obtain on the market, especially 30 years after it came out of the ground. This piece is a beautiful group of lustrous, sharp, tan-orange hexagonal crystals of Pyromorphite to create this beautiful small miniature sized specimen. Great shape, and crystallized the way around, with the largest crystal measuring 1.0 cm. Classic material from Idaho, you don't see it around anymore, and the best pieces from Bunker Hill are among the best Pyromorphites in the world. The piece comes with a label from Bob Jackson Minerals, and is valued at $500 in the inventory.
