Uvite Tourmaline (ex Kay Robertson Collection)

Item Description

This specimen features good quality, highly compressed, gemmy to translucent, attractive green color, lustrous crystals of Uvite Tourmaline from the famous locality at Brumado. The largest Uvite measures 8 mm across, and the piece is crystallized all the way around with only a few contacts here and there. A beautiful miniature of this rare Tourmaline species. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#12654). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
