Brookite on Quartz (ex Obodda)

Item Description

This particular specimen features a fine quality, sharp, lustrous, thin, tabular Brookite crystals measuring up to 1.7 cm long with very sharp, lustrous, GEMMY, colorless Quartz crystals aesthetically sitting on matrix. Matrix Brookite specimens are exceedingly difficult to obtain because the crystals don't stay on the matrix during collecting underground. This a wonderful specimen of a species that is not often seen in fine quality crystals like this, especially on matrix. It's not common to find the Brookites from this locality on such well-formed Quartz crystals on matrix. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock. Valued originally at $750, but certainly over $1,000 today.
