Item Description

A great association specimen from the famous Blue Bell Mine (Hard Luck Mine), near Baker, California. Strong azure blue Linarite and electric aqua blue Caledonite are the main focus of the piece, but there are spots of emerald green Dioptase (or possibly Brochantite) all over the specimen, and according to the label the colorless cubic crystals are Fluorite. We have photographed the piece with a Canon MP-E 65 mm macro lens to better illustrate the quality and beauty of the crystals. Very attractive, colorful and hard to find on the market now. A great association piece of this classic material. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#9661). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
