A gorgeous, gemmy, very soft pink color, thick, tabular, hexagonal hydrothermally ethced Beryl (var: Morganite) crystal from Brazil. The piece was a somewhat difficult to photograph, but it is rather gemmy, and shows a beautiful sculptural form. Interestingly, there are some very smooth, lustrous, un-etched faces on the piece (mostly on each pinacoid), so there is a unique dichotomy between the graceful etching pattern and the glassy un-etched faces. Because both pinacoids are present, the crystal is technically doubly-termianted. An eye-catching gem crystal of this classic material from one of the most famous gem producing regions in the world.
