Item Description

A few years ago there were some inds of the relatively rare Zeolite species Thomsonite in India. Most people are probably familiar with these rather smooth spheres that are found on basalt. They don't look like Thomsonite that I've seen from any other locality. This is a great display specimen from the same locality featuring many fine quality spheres of Thomsonite measuring up to 2.8 cm sitting on brown contrasting basalt. Aciculr "sprays" of what is most likely either Mesolite or Scolecite can be seen flaring out of the Thomsonite balls. A beautiful display piece of one of the rarer Zeolite species out there. Approximate retail value is $700-$800.
