Item Description
A dramatic, colorful and sculptural vintage specimen of "precious opal" in matrix. Queensland opal is world-renowned for quality and color and this blocky, 4-sided piece of boulder opal is a striking example. The color play of peacock blues, greens, yellows and whites in the veins and seams is absolutely spectacular against the segmented off-white and variably brown matrix. A fantastic 4-sided piece with 360-degree visual appeal. We have seen similar boulder opals at shows for around $500-1000.
