A sculptural and aesthetic solid mounded crust of desirable apple-green pyromorphite crystals from the major early 2000s finds at this famous Chinese locale. Many of the lustrous and translucent parallel-growth crystals are strikingly curved spindles. The prisms reach about 1.5 cm on this very showy piece. Complete all-around and essentially pristine for all of the crystal density. It's very hard to see the one broken crystal in the interior of the piece and the negligible periphery wear has minimal impact to the high quality. The scalloped bottom of the piece adds much character. Daoping is one of the world's great pyromorphite localities and this is an excellent example of this sought-after varietal with 360-degree presence. Valued at $900-1000.
