Item Description

Malayaite, rare Ca-Sn silicate, is a Titanite Group member. Specimens are EXTREMEMLY RARE from this old Japanese Sn-Pb-Zn-As deposit. Honey-brown microcrystals are scattered in the striking vein of sulfides that is visible on all sides of the sculptural wollastonite matrix. VERY RARE combination material frm this locale. Formerly in the Renato and Adriana Pagano Collection. Ex Francesco Bedogne Collection # 2172. Dr. Bedogne, 1942-2012, was a well-known Italian mineralogist, prolific author, field collector and collector.
