Item Description

The deposits at Outokumpu, Finland, have produced the world's finest and largest specimens of uvarovite, the chromium rich member of the garnet family. These were collected in the 1800s and early 1900s. Aesthetically set atop each other on the sculptural matrix are two highly lustrous, partially translucent, rich emerald-green dodecahedrons beveled with trapezohedral faces, to 1.0 cm.
