Item Description

An outstanding and sculptural cyclically-twinned cerussite crystal floater from the famous Tsumeb Mine. The very glassy and gemmy crystal has classic adamantine luster and variable rich smoky color, adding much pizzazz. The stout tapered blades, with chisel terminations, reach 2.8 cm. The blades on the back are frosted/etched and have a sparkly microcrystalline coating of an unknown mineral. This very fine floater is nearly pristine, with only a few spots of bruising and one broken smaller blade, along the edges. Classic and excellent Tsumeb cerussite.
