Large Smoky Quartz (RARE Nevada locale)

A RARE and sculptural large smoky quartz crystal from Nevada from a one time find at a roadcut. The highly lustrous, sharply terminated compound crystal has rich smoky color and is complimented by the striking glassy dense stepped-growth prism faces. The crystal is opaque, except for the gemmy termination. Complete all-around and nearly pristine. Modest termination bruising and one spot of sidewear, plus out-of-sight contacting on a lower corner, where another crystal once lay, but with no damage per se are noted but certainly have only minimal impact to the overall high quality of this large rarity. This impressive large smoky is from an small erratic road cut find near Hawthorne. Valued $1000-2000. A MUST for the Nevada or species collector!
