Item Description

Stunning neon-blue color makes this large krohnkite a beauty to look at, but its also a solid, super rich example of an extremely rare copper species. This lamellar cluster of vertical crystals grown against one another is truly spectacular. This piece absolutely GLOWS when backlit. The stepped termination is contacted, but has no damage, per se, as do many such specimens that were contacted with the roof of the vug. RARE material in this quality and size from the famous Type Locality, the Chuquicamata Mine of Chile. Valued at $1500-2000 and MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PERSON and very rare on the market.
