A dense nest of soft, hair-like, iridescent bronzy millerite needles fills a vug in sculptural limestone matrix on this rich and excellent miniature from the well-known limestone quarry. Millerite specimens are a signature species from this Michigan locale. Ex David Burgess Collection, for whom Burgessite is named.
