Item Description

Gemmy, glassy, colorless calcite rhombs, to 2.4 cm, richly and attractively cover the mounded small cabinet matrix of sphalerite, galena and marcasite. This less well-known lead-zinc mine was discovered in 1984 and is now closed. Excellent and uncommon specimens, such as this, were recovered in the mid-1990s (MINDAT). An exceptionally rich, rare and choice calcite specimen from the Rob Sielecki Collection.
