Item Description

VERY RARE rhodochrosite from the famous polymetallic skarn deposit at Charcas. MINDAT does not list the species for Charcas. Pretty pastel-pink spherical bundles of tiny rhodo blades are aesthetically scattered on the matrix plate of classic for Charcas, very glassy, translucent, intergrown sharp mint-green datolite crystals. The large datolite is 2.5 cm (doubly terminated) and the other prominent crystal is 1.7 cm. One side of the piece is covered with sparkly drusy quartz, a contrasting and typical accessory.
