Item Description

RARE and rich rhodochrosite combination material from this most obscure Peru complex lead-zinc mine. MINDAT lists both rhodo and bournonite for the locale, but features no photos of either species in the locality gallery. Pretty pastel-pink, sparkly, sugary flattened rhombs, to 1.0 cm, are festooned, jackstraw-style on the sulfide and quartz matrix plate. Tiny splendent bournonite crystals clustered on the face and noted in the vein on one side are a super contrast and rare accessory. RARE, rich and very showy combination material from the Huinac Mine from the W.S. Logan Rhodchrosite Collection # X16-1 and obtained from a respected dealer.
