Item Description

Lustrous, translucent, tabular, tapered, tan wulfenite prisms, to 1.0 cm, are festooned on the marble matrix plate on this very rich and showy example from this old, small long abandoned lead mine. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 12511 and acquired from Scott Williams. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record). A classic, rich and typical wulfenite style from this mine.
