Item Description

Mineral specimens of ANY species are RARE from these old, long-extinct brown iron ore deposits. Bubbly botryoidal matte-finish bog iron (limonite) forms a sculptural small cabinet specimen. It displays well without aid. Previously in the Eric Green Collection and collected in 1985. Ex Dr. Barratt Phillips Collection. Not pretty to look at, but a RARE iron ore example from a historic old locale. A MUST for the Massachusetts or species collector.
