Item Description

Gypsum is VERY RARE from this obscure New Mexico mine. This sculptural, very lightweight small cabinet is composed of a myriad of intergrown, very glassy, transparent to translucent, light brown blades. A fascinating 360-degree floater, that is essentially pristine. Outstanding, for such a soft mineral. Formerly in the Ron Gibbs Collection. Ex Dr. Barratt Phillips Collection. A must for the locality or species collector.
