An unusual specimen from a classic Mexican locale. Spherical aggregates of lustrous, bronzy marcasite crystals cover this impressive large knob of solid marcasite. The bit of noted bruising is certainly acceptable in the context of this fine and uncommon specimen from 1960s to 1980s finds in Zacatecas. Excellent material from the Dr. Barratt Phillips Collection.
