Light pink, hackly globular clusters of rhodochrosite are aesthetically set on the front of the striking 360-degree hedgehog of quartz points from the famed Idarado Mine of Colorado. Rhodochrosite is RARE from the Idarado, noted for classic manganoan calcite and quartz specimens. The piece is peppered with botryoids of an unknown Mn-silicate, adding pizzazz. A fascinating, showy and rare 360-degree combination from the W.S. Logan Rhodochosite Collection. A MUST for the Colorado or species collector.
